Arnold, happy to hear things are going so well. :fonz:

Last night, we one-shotted Shannox, Baleroc, and Beth. Baleroc dropped the Helm of Blazing Glory, my best in slot piece. :)

statuesque pretty hipster blonde in a red coat sits next to me at the airport gate. I fall asleep and wake up only to see her already walking down boarding the plane and her iPhone's still charging right next to me.

I try to tell the attendants at the gate that she forgot her phone. they don't care. eventually she comes running up and I give her her phone. she's tired, kinda frantic, and still very pretty.

I went to vote yesterday ("No" on Sunday sales of booze) and as I was walking in to my alma mater, the Archbishop of Atlanta just left from voting. I talked to him for a minute or two and was quite literally starstruck. I think he was taken aback by how happy I was to meet him.

    FTR...

In GA you can't buy booze in a store on Sundays, that's been on the books for decades. The votes were for local jurisdictions to authorize its sale.

I live in Atlanta, duh, and it was going to pass, in fact it got like 80% yes.

I want to be able to buy booze then, even if I don't really drink anymore.

    HOWEVER,

    I like to be contrary,
    I like tradition, and
I felt comfortable voting no knowing it would still pass.

Plus, what about the working man who owns a liquor store who wants a day off guaranteed at no fault to his business?

Why do you want to stop the sale of booze on Sundays only??

Only for buying it in a store???

What's the point of that in the first place?

How is behind this crazy rule?

Some heretical sect is behind it (I think the Baptists) because Sunday is a holy day.

You can only buy booze in a restaurant and after 1230.

How about this though... in GA you can't be beer with more than 13.9% alcohol. The stores that sell beer however can sell Golden Grain which is 95% alcohol. The beer cap used to be 8%.

+1. Just as bad is that in Indiana, cars can't be purchased from a dealership on Sunday. The law doesn't make sense to me.

Prohibition was making sense even if it was highly counter-productive at so many levels...

These rules are just plain stupid...

How is supporting them apart from clerics?

i think these are called blue laws and have to do with not interfering with church and the spirit of the day.
