Yeah, we watched it to the bitter end, and have all the DVD's. Not that I've cracked any of them open...but we have them.
I never watched it to conclusion -- how does it end? I know they discontinued it and made two movies.

It's all pretty sketchy: haven't even thought about it in years, but they discover Jared's brother, and I think they find his mom's tomb or something and there's a lot of running around and no conclusion to speak of. iirc they talked about more movies and something to wrap up all the mysteries, but nothing ever came of it.

I remember totally loving that show.

About a year ago, while traveling somewhere or the other, I happened to catch a re-run on Star TV or something and was absolutely floored by how dated it looks now.

I can believe that. The only reason I got into it was because Mrs. T and her folks were fans. And thus were born the stay-in Saturday evenings. Ironic that I would marry someone who's so big on TV, because I lived for years without one and never missed it.

I think my interview today went pretty well. The interviewer is in a part-time history PhD program, and got all excited when she saw on my resume that I had written an undergrad honors thesis. Asked me to send it to her. I hope that will be my in. Along with my charming personality. [IMG]

I wish I had been forced to write a thesis...

It would be handy to have something that I put that much work into that I was actually proud of to send to people in situations like that.

Thanks. I'm in a bit of a bind, as I think I may get an offer on a job I don't want before I hear back on this one. But I'm beginning to realize that if I take the job I don't want, I'm going to be miserable right off the bat. The economy is bad, blah blah, I know, but I can't subject myself to that.

Wow, this thread falls to page 2.

    Ah well. Here goes:

Baby girl is chronically happy, except for when she's hungry. 11 lbs of pure joy.

Brother seems to be staying clean and hung around with us for the afternoon when we visited the folks. (normally he hides away).

Son had a decent week and a good weekend. Gotta build on this.

Ran 12 miles for the first time in a long time this morning, and feel fine.
