This. I always give at least a little something to foster real volunteerism.

Btw, did folks know there's only a couple manufacturers licensed to sell these things and one of them is Canadian owned? Justin thanks you all for the tax revenues.

Yeah and only one of them is allowed to call Samoas Samoas. The other one has to eat shit and call theirs a generic name so you know you’re eating the knockoff

Samoas are more of a candy than a cookie.

I always get confused as to which is which, but each baker has a better version of one of my favorite cookies.

I just can't remember if the best paring is Samoas (LBB) + Peanut Butter Patties (ABC) or Caramel Delites (ABC) + Tagalongs (LBB).

I do know that the ABC version of the thin mint is better in my opinion. Crunchier and mintier. The LBB version has too much chocolate and overpowers it. I don't even buy them anymore.

Been a long time since I have had both though. My state is an exclusive LBB territory, but I used to live in one that was served by both bakers. Our area as a kid always got ABC though, so I was really confused when people had funny names like "Samoa" and "Tagalong"

I can always throw you a box from ABC if you come through on a late winter trip.

I just used the Coravin I was gifted to pull a glass of Sassicaia. Life does not suck at this moment.

So is Coravin any good? I really can’t do a full bottle with regularity anymore and I have no help these days because wife decided to stop drinking

Perfect solution for your case. From all the actual somms I've talked to about this the caveats are the cork has to be sound, i.e. no really old bottles with crumbling corks, and no matter what the Coravin collateral says they wine will start to degrade in six to eight months.

They work well...
I've almost pulled the trigger a couple of times, but for what they are they are egregiously overpriced.
I can afford it, but so far I've resisted on principal.
