• CALLING ON HOME SEWERS TO HELP HEALTHCARE WORKERS FIGHTING COVID-19

The lack of proper masks, gowns, and eyewear equipment is making it difficult for health workers to do their work fighting the novel coronavirus. In a recent New York Times article, medical workers said they were worried about how they can both fight the coronavirus without imperiling themselves, as well as their loved ones when they go back home.

If you are a home sewer, please consider helping my joining Hickey Freman Technical Vice President Jeffery Diduch in his effort to produce and deliver homemade gowns and masks to medical professionals in the greater Rochester, New York Area. Read about how you can help here

Does kayak have an option where I can search by type of plane? I'll take some janky itinerary if I have to.

Looks like a year ago there were still 3 747 routes out of Chicago.

Worthwhile. I've flown the 747 a few times on London trips for work. It's pretty fun to sit "upstairs" on a plane.
I sat upstairs on a 747 flight to Seoul, it was pretty cool.

Not that I'm aware of, but you can cross check any flight with Seat Guru to see what aircraft it's on.

Upstairs lavatory in a 747 = best place outside of a private jet to join the mile high club.

Not that i joined the club there - i just observed that because of its size and isolation, it would be easiest to sneak away to and do the deed with relative ease. Also i might have been soundly rejected whilst proposing it to my traveling companion (in before ‘what, was Edina on her period’)

Found it
The 10pm flight to Frankfurt is on a 747/8

I'm too poor to sit upstairs though.

Is upstairs business/first class?
As far as I can tell, at least on the newest Lufthansa planes, it is like half of the business class seats. The first class seats are in the nose (underneath the cockpit) with more business class seats behind them.

The A380 is badass and all, but it kind of looks like a fat blob. The 747 looks much more elegant with its high cockpit, swept back wings, and svelte tail fins.

Kind of sad I never got a chance to fly on a 747...I guess I could still try to find a BA or Lufthansa flight before they phase them out like the US airlines did.
Very surprising that otc likes the high cockpit.

My accountant just emailed me to say my taxes are completed. 2019 was not a normal year, due to changing jobs and triggering a deferred comp payout, but damn. State and federal returns totaled $29, and $492 respectively.
fixed it for those of you who didn't understand

Primus played a "social" at my college when I was a student, right around when Suck on This came out. That was a phenomenal show.

Our campus "mascot" (a concrete owl) showed up mid-concert and a mini-riot broke out - the tradition is that if you see the owl you have to try to steal it, so you can imagine the commotion as the scrum of people surrounding the owl moved through the moshpit (and eventually out of an open, ground-floor window).
Two mentions of Primus on my social media today after not thinking about them for probably a decade. Someone posted this on FB as "what Primus sounds like to people who don't like Primus."

He's not wrong. :D
