have to maintain, but they last for two years. I really want to try to rotate every two years, I can keep platinum in 2 hotels if I focus on them, its impossible to do 3 (50 nights a year for platinum). but I will also try to leverage the sales department "you know, I dropped your hotel last year but if you give me a platinum I'll use you more". we'll see.

I miss the good old days when I had status. I am mearly a peon compared to you, but I had gold on Skyteam and scamed gold on star aliance. I almost had hilton diamond. I got to Hampton Gold this year but the boss put a big kibosh on staying there (fell in love with hotwire), so i will probably never use it. If I get really lucky I might hit silver on delta.

Good stuff! I can't remember, when we went out for dinner and drinking, did you get the story about me at a party and someone mocking the Special O?
I don't believe so, but you may have. Past a certain point, I don't remember much of that night. [IMG] BTW, also making me happy My sister just bought and moved into her new house with her fiance. I have a job and fucking love it. My Mom's bday is tomorrow. My Dad's bday is Saturday. What a great week for the Wilkinson family.

Is your DC stay already over?
Yes. But I hope to make it back there within the next few years.

Gold was in softball throw, silver was in long jump. Two bronzes were in the 400 walk and the 400 run. He tends to view those as opportunities to talk to other contestants and to wave to the crowd. A true Wilkinson.

Lots of good news, Kwilk. Congrats!

T - good luck picking up guitar again. I need to get back to playing a lot more than I do. Incidentally, I met PRS when I was a teenager. The thing I remember most about meeting him was his proudly-professed love of our local nudie bars.

Thanks. I'm working on scales (A minor pentatonic) this week. Little one's supposed to be doing scales as well, but you know how that goes - if it ain't Ode to Joy, it's not worth playing. For some reason, I'm now a lot more in tune with and understand more of the music theory than I ever would have been as a teen.

Also about to wind up with my dad's old early-60's Gibson acoustic, and will have to figure out a spot for a wall-mount guitar rack.

As for y'all's nudie bars, I only remember Cheetah's, and that one not so fondly.
