I suppose the interpretive dance you did for your final project went over well.

Both of you suck at interpretive dance, as you are too manly. I however, rock it.

Got some contract work with a litigation consulting company! [IMG] Hopefully I can roll it into a full time job or internship.

    NOICE, good luck!

To add to this, I just found out a running mate from high school just ran the Boston Marathon and finished 159th. I know that in StyleForvm land where everyone is the fastest, smartest, best looking, most athletic, and most well dressed person they know, it's not a big deal. But 159 out of 22,000 is pretty damn impressive to me.

Holy hell that is impressive. That's - what, 2:30 - 2:40 speed or thereabouts?

Here's my take on this: I generally run in the top 10% of my age group over a given distance, and I'm a long way from even qualifying to run Boston. If I want to even toe the line, I've got to train like a big dog for the next 18 months, to even have a modest shot of earning a Boston race number. To be the 159th finisher is amazing.

Yep, 2:37. Really good guy. 3 years older than me. Was a senior my freshman year. Took me under his wing and showed me how to really run competitively, not just against the stopwatch but against teams and individuals. Went off to college, and did my 70 mile weeks with me the next summer to help me train. Great guy, great time, great to hear.

I'm moved in. Hellish couple of days but the hard part is done. Just have some unboxing to do now. Then, as my first order of business, I'm gonna find a taco bell. After that I need to find a damned job.

Welcome to TO! Try Chipotle (Yonge/Dundas), much better than TB.

Just found an apt in Indy, kind of. It's a two month sublet from another guy who's moving. Met with him yesterday, toured the apartment, etc. We really liked each other and moving forward with the deal! Big plus is it's only about 5 blocks from my gf's apartment. Hopefully during these two months I'll find a job and a more permanent place near there.

Still, in the same day, I was able to sublet my apartment in Healdsburg and find one here. Definitely makes life a little less stressful in the upcoming weeks.

    Terrific! Congrats!

    Congrats!

    Yayyyy!

Thanks, guys! We're slowly getting settled in. All of our stuff was in the new house as of Monday, and we've been working on unpacking and organizing.

    Not with that dude.

Here, I'll save you guys the text:

    Kwilk: Hey Lish
    Lish: Heyyy, Special K
<30 seconds of awkward grabbing and groping>
    Kwilk: OOOOOOOOOoooooooohhhhhh
    Lish: Ugh. Really? Again?
Kwilk: I'm sorry. I'll get better at this eventually. (whispers) I wish Conne were here. He understands me. <gentle weeping>
Lish: <falls asleep, frustrated and unfulfilled>
    End Scene

Edit: Oh, and congrats on the apartment, Kwilk!

K, why don't you move in with her? Save some money.

I'm happy it's Friday, a long, hellish week is almost done, I'm leaving early, and big party tonight at a vintner's dinner with some local chefs.

I just found out that the building in which my school's D.C. office is housed used to be a restaurant infamous for hosting boozy lunches for Sens. Dodd, Kennedy and Moynihan. The former two were known to take waitresses and secretaries into the back room for a post-meal workout. I hope the walls have been washed. [IMG]
