    I just think it's pointless and pretentious to use 'beouf' instead of 'beef' when the latter was directly derived from the former.

    my school spent like $400 million last semester on new buildings that are finally complete. massive new gym with a rock climbing wall, pools, indoor track (awesome) and an amazing new cafeteria

    My last two textbooks turned up today. All told the fackers weigh 27 pounds and cost more than my tuition.

    Just took my belt in another notch as trousers kept riding down. That's from the last notch, having it painful under my gut, to the fourth notch at my natural waist, since August.

    I recently watched Julie & Julia and the actress playing Julie was pronouncing it "boof," which really made me cringe, but I don't mispronounce it, and I speak the language fluently, so I don't think it's pretentious at all. Beef bourguignon doesn't sound right to my ears.

    Each book is a monster, and I wonder just how much of each I'll actually read.

    It is four years (to the hour) since I arrived in the US to start this latest chapter of my life. Not sure if I am celebrating this fact or the fact I have survived here this long .... but I am definitely celebrating! [​IMG]
