1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Fly fishing for trout and bass rocks. Have not gone fishing in years but spent many hours doing all kinds of fishing, from shore sitting with a worm and bobber to trolling for salmon with downriggers to northern Ontario pike/muskie casting to ice fishing.

This type of boat fishing seems to lead to the most whisky consumption also.

Thanks, dude! I've been looking forward to doing this for years. I have really great memories of going saltwater fishing with my dad when I was a kid, and there aren't a whole lot of great memories with him, so I'm excited about having something to pass down. We won't find anything quite as idyllic as what you're talking about (hopefully one day), but it's gonna be nice to get out on the river with my boy. I just hope we at least get some bites!

We're probably going to hit all stocked trout. The river we're fishing didn't support native trout, but after years of stocking, they found that the browns now have a wild population. We might luck out and hit one of those, but catching a wild fish in a river full of stockers is probably asking a lot when we'll be lucky just to get a bite. Given this is the first trip, I'll be happy with a few stocked rainbows.

I hope to fly fish one day. I think I'd really enjoy it.

So, to fly fishing. I'm far, far from an expert. I think lefty or Gnatty might be, can't remember which. But I'm here to tell you it's like clothing. OTR, MTM, bespoke. Try some not bank breaking stuff from maybe BassPro before you decide to dive deep. The cast is most of it and that's all about patience.

I think I'd be good at it.

I have a lot of practice using what I think is fly fishing technique to play with my cat.

    C'mon, no one?

I'm sure you play with that pussy by using your rod technique. [IMG]
