1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

What if we're all just a part of L'inc's imagination?

And now you see that unhappy will always triumph, because happy is dumb.

Darth Vader is dumb. I mean seriously - how did he not know he was going to have twins? Did he skip all of Padme's prenatal appointments? Did he use the force to block out her voice whenever she wanted to talk about the pregnancy?

Probably the worst thing for me now is that every time I see Darth Vader on screen I think to myself "yeah, that's Hayden Christensen in there."

It's the worst. Second worst is walking by my wife watching Love Actually on Valentine's Day and realizing that sappy little shit who's stalking Keira Knightley is actually Rick Grimes

Ahahahahh! I didn't know that. I think I watched that a bunch of years ago but hadn't made the connection. Excellent.

Vader is still James Earl Jones in my mind. I pretend the prequels don't exist.

Bought all 11 volumes of Will Durant's The Story of Civilization in good condition from some guy at a flea market. Paid $10 for all of them. He said his neighbor gave him the books when he moved and he was selling them at the flea market because he doesn't read. I'm good on reading material for awhile. In a place where most of the books are airport novels or Dr. Phil books or Diabetic Delights, this was a pleasant surprise. The guy also had some Tom Wolfe books.

I have a small sliver of hope that the prequels will be remade someday by someone with talent.

Has he made many movies since the 80s? George Lucas gets a lot of crap because of the prequel trilogy, but not only did he create a massively successful empire, he really launched Harrison Ford's career, he created Pixar, he was a key part in developing THX. It seems that since Last Crusade he really just dropped off. What happened to him in the 90s and early 2000s, who knows. Perhaps he really was broke after his divorce, and he was just desperate for money.

As an aside, he hand picked JJ Abrams to direct Episode 7, so he gets some of the blame for that shitty movie (even if he criticized it too).

He made the prequels... and was an executive producer on Red Tails (not sure of his creative involvement).

He obviously was a talented guy, but he lost the touch somewhere along the line. It happens.
