1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

My wife knows a few people who left their jobs for Amazon. I don't think I'd want to work for them, and I definitely wouldn't want to deal with dat Seattle cost of living on the Amazon pay.

Amazon is opening a fulfillment center in Sacramento, bringing a thousand new jobs to the area. So I figure if this whole law thing doesn't work out, maybe I can go work for them slangin' boxes or something.

Yeah I wouldn't want to work for them either. Even though the NYT article about their working conditions was probably painting a skewed picture, a lot of the employee reviews I'm seeing on Glassdoor indicate it's directionally accurate.

Also they pay base salaries lower than other big tech. Seems like a good chunk of the total comp is tied to stock options, so a lot of folks have probably been paid handsomely given their stock price.

Yes, that's true. Basically they have a cap on salary seemingly at about $120k before the rest becomes options/bonus/whatever.

They were really generous with one of her coworker's moves though.

Took a youngish client for lunch and he threw me a hash oil vape pen. Sweet.

Did he literally throw it at you? That's kind of ungrateful for someone you just bought lunch for

Soz I sit down on the loading dock in the alley adjacent my office after work to try out my new toy. I felt like I was in grade 9 again. Sat. Down. Rookie mistake. Three hits off this Bob Marley robo cock. Make a quick call. Look around. Nada. Three more. Maybe this is a nicotine one? Three more. This thing sucks. Stand up.

Somewhere between I Am Sam and Sling Blade.

Get home and of course the wife wants to walk w the kids to the ice cream stand. Managed a decent realtor despite being a sling blade.

I think my lil hash pen gonna sit for Saturday nights. Lol

Thought I was out of Wiser's. Was looking through my booze storage drawers, thinking it was going to be Crown tonight (too sweet for me), and I found a handle of Wiser's! Complete score.
