1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

@MrG Gotcha it is more a regional thing than. I just had never run across it until just recently. I was in a restaurant in Bangkok Thailand ,way back when ,that had Louisiana prawns on the menu . I asked the waiter' what the hell is a prawn .I'm from louisiana and I never heard of a prawn"

I don't like "unsweet". Can't we just say "unsweetened " like we're supposed to? It is actually only slightly longer to say.

For a long time I thought servers all were saying unsweetened and just clipping their words a little bit, but no - they actually say unsweet [IMG]

No, it's "unsweet," because it's "sweet" tea, not "sweetened" tea.

True, it's a southern thing. I grew up drinking it. That tea is one of those consumables you just don't see around SoCal where I live now. I bet there are people my age here who have never once had a glass of "sweet tea." People here also have no idea what boiled peanuts are.

I'm surprised boiled peanuts never took off outside of the south. Seems like the kind of snack just about anyone would enjoy.

A guy walks into a bar. He asks the bartender, "Do you have any helicopter flavored potato chips?" The bartender shakes his head and says, "No, we only have plain."

There's one thing that never fails to make me laugh - when a kid or kids are playing basketball and an adult jumps out and blocks the ever living fuck out of the kid's shot

I think the Cleveland Cabs lost on the road because of the unnecessary inclusion of blue on the road uniforms.

Okay so basically there is no one on the whole planet who is worse than me at knowing when holidays are. (I am not including people who are unconscious or severely cognitively impaired or anything like that, I just mean people whose mentes are at reglar level of functionment.) I didn't know there was a holiday on Monday until I saw one of my FB friends be post about her Memorial Day plans realized I don't start working again on Monday as I had thought but rather on Wensday.
