1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thanks guys. I'm sad but not heartbroken if that makes sense. And I am happy he won't have to have another seizure, he isn't deaf anymore etc. My parents were really worked up yesterday. Never seen my dad cry and he wept (Henry was always more attached to them than me). I did break down a little yesterday at the bar.

I too like to fuck Germans to make up for the centuries of Polish relations.

Got all my paperwork handed in, good til september.

Spent a week at a festival up north, had a blast.

Company is chugging along, making unofficial sales until I get the catalog up online, but given the number of "pre-pro samples" I've been "giving" to friends of friends... well, I'm pretty happy.

Got a new seal skin, much better quality than the last one in terms of pattern and flexibility, will make for better wallets, first purse came out great too.

Clearly it's a fishing village he has recently conquered. The newly enslaved men are hard at work clubbing seals for their skins so that the women can make purses and wallets so that Liam the Younger may expand his empire.

I'm not trying to stir up trouble or anything like that, but I always laugh when Jon Bon Jovi starts singing the falsetto parts of "Runaway." (Heard it on the radio recently.)

Holy crap! Neat new development in the mystery surrounding the logo on the Pittsburgh Pirates batting helmets in the late '60s/early '70s!

    There's a difference?

So I am getting an interview for this new position next week. The manager really wants me, but needs to satisfy the requirements and interview an number of applicants (bullshit). He made one of his people "prep" me for the interview. I am nervous, however, because there are a couple of very strong candidates, one of which the director (manager's boss) is buddy-buddy with so he may cock block me.

To state the obvious (and the easier-said-than-lived): there's little point in worrying about shit you can't control, like what other folks do or say. Just focus on what you bring to the table.
    But good luck.
Maybe get a bit drunk before the interview to loosen up a bit?

I'm not really nervous about the interview. It will be more awkward than anything. I have worked alongside the manager (in the different group) for the last 4.5 years. He actually was one of the interviewers for the job I currently have, so it will bring back memories.

The thing is the department I am trying to get into is still within the overall organization (we all funnel to the same VP) so if they hire me I will be right here to help train somebody to do my old job. If I don't get this position and I move to another department (I've made it clear I want to move) they will be utterly fucked because I do 90% of what goes on in my department now and my manager is brand new. They know I am a great employee so I think it is in their best interest to keep me given all of this. Many other people in the organization feel the same way when discussing all of this.

Sounds like you're in a good spot, then. Don't fuck up.
