1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Everything in my garden was way late this year. I still have some Daffy's that are holding on, azalea's that still haven't bloomed and my tulips are only now beginning to wane. The allium, however, is standing by to explode and carry the garden over until the peonies, catmint and sage bloom.

The world would be a better place if there were more flowers and they stayed around longer.

Wow, didn't realize dog walkers made that much. Sometimes I dogsit for friends and walk/run them for free (I have more fun than the dogs do so I never dreamt about charging for it)

Congratulations, although we've always found you tenuous and don't need any outside confirmation.

Applied for a new job within my current company. I've angered many because I'm such an asset. They should totally book me.

yeah, these people on Park Ave with 5 dogs in tow are making a ton of money.

true story: PatrickBOOTH and I were at my neighborhood pub, and this big, gross, gnarly looking dude named Vincent comes walking in. I recognized him from seeing him on the street walking dog after dog. He has all of the old ladies and their little Yorkie's in his pocket. We asked him a little about it, and all he said was "this neighborhood has been very very good to me".

How much do you get to dog-walk? I'm assuming these are NYC rates.

    $20/dog/hour?

depends on a lot of things. dog agency vs. individual business, big dog, small dog, yappy dog, dog that needs training on the walk, dog that just needs to walk, dog that needs to be on a run, etc, etc.

I only do one dog at a time, either the Bernese or the Rottie, and I'm def. underpaid vs. the market, but it's a friend's business and we want a good rate for when we get our pit bull (which will be soon).

boarding the Bernese will be $100 a day, which is a super cheap rate, but I'd do it for free. she's a 95 lb teddy bear.
