1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

That is the second time this has been posted on the Styleforum website today. (Maybe there are even more I don't read every post just the ones that seem interesting to me.)

And I was just pointing out that the same comment appeared about me twice on SF today. That is unusual. (In the other case, I was pointing out that a thong is a ridiculous looking garment ain't even matter who is wearing it. That is a claim I stand by. It is a ridiculous looking garment.)

Which makes it quite similar to stick garters; it looks ridiculous but makes another article of clothing look vastly better.

It was in a thread about which kind of undergarment the posters preferred women to wear. It was unstated, but the point at issue was "sexiness of garment." I can't think of a thong as a sexy garment because it makes its wearer look ridiculous. (Ridiculous and sexy don't go together well.)

Also, since it's thematically related, I call women who wear thongs "thongstresses."

Biscotti's a reglar man of the people (says "IN-surance") I think his opinion should count for quite a bit in this matter.

I can just picture someone going to the undergarments department of a clothing store "Hey yeah uh I was thinking I'd love to have a undergarment that conceals my genitals and also the part where I make doodahs (can never remember the name it's like a planet) but so's my buns are open to view is there anything like that to buy?" And the SA is all like "I've got the perfect garment for you it is called thong."

Never really cared what type of underwear a gal wears (more important what's underneath).

I feel terrible for you, Conne. Oh wait, I don't. High of -8 yesterday. I just came to work at 6 am, and it was -18. So suck it.

Why are you angry about that? I think above 55 would be close to a world record hot day for a populated location. 40 is hot enough but 55-60 would see people dying all over the place from heat stroke.

Thanks, everybody! Definitely very cool that we'll have one of each, and it's exactly the way I would have wanted it (older boy, younger girl). Plus, every guy I know with girls has told me how awesome it is, and a lot of women I've talked to have said they always wanted a big brother when they were little, so I'm really excited about it. Also, from a practical perspective, it takes "let's try one more time for a girl" off the list of arguments in favor of having a third kid. If we do decide to have a third (I'm currently in the "no" camp), it will be because we want another child, and not because of some misguided inclination to try for the one we don't have.

True story: Jameson was one of the names on my shortlist when we had my son. It was ultimately ruled out because Irish whiskey was my whiskey of choice during that time, and, when we did the math to roughly determine the day of conception, I realized it was way too likely I'd been wasted on Jameson the night it happened. Made that name a little :uhoh:.
