I'm always happy to hear when the gift my people have given to the world is enjoyed by others. ;)

Never been, but I think I'll go this winter or spring. I bought the Empire Pass a few weeks ago...it gives you free entry to every NYS park. Cost me $40. I'm looking forward to exploring.

I had to wear some stupid bracelet, but it seemed pretty pointless. I have to say though, at this hospital the staff treated me rather well.

yeah, I figured it out, was still awful. then they have those beds that adjust every 2 minutes so it's like sleeping next to a broken refrigerator. then the staff is in and out of the room all night (even though everything is fine). i unplugged the staff computer in the room because the damn lcd wouldn't turn off, illuminating the room. i tried to think of it as a terrible, but expensive, hotel stay - without the do not disturb sign.

the last night they wanted my wife to bring the baby to the nursery for something. i was like, that's ridic - she needs to rest. all of a sudden they could do it in the room in 15 minutes.

on another note - how 'bout them ravens?

I'm happy we took the dog to the dog run this morning, then I went on a nice bike ride to Prospect Park with the wife, then watched some foot ball.

I'm also happy the Patirots are in the *SuperBowl!!

    *
    * the patirots actually just got killed by baltimore. :(
2/3 isn't too bad for today.

Got some nice-ass bonsai pots Saturday, got a couple trees they are holding for me at the nursery.

I already miss my plants and pots. :(

Oh, and I got a 20% off coupon from B&N and I'm about to finish my book. Score.

Galt, I know I'm late on this but apparently I didn't congratulate you on new baby. I swear I typed out a post but I was pretty buzzed that night.

I don't know if you've had a daughter before, but I can tell you from experience that the father-daughter relationship is really special. It's been the most enjoyable relationship I've had with anyone in my life and I wish the same for you.

Nice to see that you're still a gay ass gardener wannabe!

    Also, nobody reads books anymore.
