1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

True story. I mean, tonight, I have to watch myself narrate/feature in a video in front of hundreds. Speaking of which, until tomorrow...

So, this could probably go in either the "pissed" or the "happy" thread, but I'll put it here since it's basically a good thing.

Late last summer, I interviewed for a job with the same organization with which I did my grad-school internship. I didn't get the job, but I wound up getting the one I have now about six months later, so no big deal. Yesterday, completely out of the blue, I got a call from the woman who supervised me during my internship to let me know the position opened up again, and she encouraged me to apply (she's not the supervisor for the division that has the opening). Apparently, I was on the short list last time, so she feels like I'd be in great shape if I wanted to go for it again.

The job closes on Tuesday, so now I have to decide whether or not to go ahead and apply.

G, you apply. If they offer and all the stars are not in alignment you can say, "No."

We just checked in for the night. POTUS suite is awesome. GF would love this.

pics or gtfo. I am expecting to see at least 3 separate toilets (which is how many my non-presidential suite at the Ritz had)

Will post a few tomorrow. Private hot tub ftw tonight. Four sets of doors to the walk out patio, stellar views.

Would it require moving again? Is it similar to your gig now?

I will be staying in a lovely open barracks next week. Hopefully we get the ones with doors on the bathroom stalls and maybe even shower stalls instead of a Saw-esque sheet metal walled kill room with 6 shower heads. I'm going advanced party so at least I will get a bed far from the door.

I love seeing my girl in crazy kid situations where she handles it smashingly. She's a Pre-k to 1st grade teacher and the kids all adore her. It makes me confident and happy to know she's going to be a great momma.

The only way your hot tub could be better than mine is if it was full of las chicas calientes all with some excellent cava in hand and ready to make out with any random stranger. Oh wait I already have all that.

Such a good night. I am quite happy
