Bit of an inside joke from last night. We sat at the bar an hour before our seating reservation. They had these unstable, thin walled, fancy Champs flutes out for some reason vs. their usual ones. The head bartender was bitching as they're so easy to break and actually broke five while we were sitting at the bar.

I'm really griping a lot in the "pissed" thread, so I thought I'd stop over here and count my blessings.

Despite being entirely deflated about being back at work after a long break, I'm truly happy I had the time off. I really needed it.

We headed down to Florida for the week of Christmas. We got to spend time with family and friends (even an SFer!), we took LowerCaseG to Sea World on my mother-in-law's dime (the little guy loved the dolphins and "Shampoo"), we had some great seafood, MrsG and I got to go on a date to one of our favorite restaurants (probably the best one in the area), and I took home more gifts than any man can reasonably expect to receive (mostly awesome stuff for my Jeep). I also managed to avoid getting sick during the trip, which was a welcome change from the summer vacation I spent with a cold. I did come down with a pretty persistent cough the day of the drive home, but that wasn't a huge deal. It never really got worse, I never felt too bad, and it was almost entirely better by the end of the next day. Plus, it gave me an excuse to go into work late on Monday, my first day back.

My only regret is that we were busier than we normally are for our Christmas Florida visit, so we didn't get to relax much or see as many friends as I would have liked, but, other than that, it was a great trip.

Have not worked since 12/20 and not heading back to work until next Monday. :slayer:

Have not put on a pound despite drinking like a fish and eating everything I've wanted to (including foie three times since Xmas Eve).

The home gym we set up in November has been getting daily use from both of us. Up to fast walking/jogging 4.5 miles in a session now.

Mrs. Piob's company was slow all of 2012 and she was down t half time all of 2012. That would not have crimped our cash flow except for scoring our new house in 2012. Well, she's headed back to 36 hours a week, nine hours a day Mon-Thurs so she'll still have Fridays off.

Have a single guy, no pets or kids, good job, as a tenant in our old house.

    Life is good.

Pio, you never mention children, I assume you don't have any. Growing up I always admired the lives of my parent's friends who were just married. Seemed to have such fun lives together.
