Aww Thanks! They do make me proud and I can't help but be amazed by their personalities, intelligence and charm. Sucks that I forgot my good camera and had to settle for using my phone.

I'm happy the NFL season is over so I don't have to watch any more Lions games and maybe can get some work done on Sundays.

I ran into an old collegue by complete coincidence today, we are both staying in the same hotel in moscow. it was nice to catch up, haven't seen him in 10 years. better yet, he told me about an old boss we both had, who was a complete asshole, who was fired from our old company, went to work for another similar company and was fired and spent a year unemployed, then went to work for a little shitty company. made me all warm and fuzzy inside.

No, that's not done yet. Finals week is next week, so that's when the grading will really kick in. But grading finals isn't that onerous, since I don't write many comments at all on those.

You know how there are different forks for different purposes, like the beef fork or the cocktail fork? Well I think I've just discovered a fork for scraping the cheese off my pizza. That brought a modicum of joy to my world.

I don't think anything makes me happier than the album that emerged from Tina Turner's '90 Foreign Affair tour. Probably her best band, and she was in flawless voice in that period. It makes me giddy every time I listen. :)

    I can't stand the raiiiiiiiiin.....against my windoooooow

her vocals from the Golden Eye song had me worrying she'd have an aneurism during a live performance of it.

I saw her do Goldeneye live in 2009 and she killed it. Sang it in full voice too. Only other Bond songstress that can do this is Shirley Bassey.
