1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

It is funny to me that certain of SF shorten (abbreviate) my name to Link. It is funny because my username is French, so in my own mind, the initial I of L'Incandescent is nasalized. It is probably the case that almost no one in the whole history of SF has pronounced my name in French, to where I wonder what they are saying in their own minds.

On a related note, I often pronounce Bhowie's name in my own mind as "Boy Howdy." Not because I think it says that, but just because I think it's funny.

It's officially Brown Leather Boot (BLB) season and I've had multiple sightings today.

    Glorious.

I tend to make up names for people irrespective of what they self-identify with.

    Nothing offensive, of course.

    Well except for Hey Man.

Here is the pronunciation of my username. About 28 seconds in. The _ is silent.

That was a helpful guide wasn't sure. Is the music part of the pronunciation too? Because it would be hard for me to pronounce the letters and make music sounds at the same time.

On another note, STL is pretty happy right now on account of the Cardinals are going to the NLCS for the third straight year. Also the Rams have returned to their winning ways and the Blues are probably the best team in the NHL (hockey league). I was driving through downtown just after the Cardinals did win (arriving home from work).

    i pronounce it "bee howy"

L'inc, in my mind i pronounce your UN, in a bad french accent (not to be derogatory, only on account of because my french accent is not so good), as "le inc"

I have had a heartfelt conversation with the real man behind the name of "bhowie" and best I can reckon, he thinks his name is Bee Howie. But the man (authorities) can not police the inside of my mindspace, so I just say "Boy Howdy."

I say your name as "Stitchy." For lasbar I always say "Lad Spur." And I always treat b1os as the ancient Greek word--sort of like "bee-aws."

I always add a Z to Bhowie and pronounce it Bhowzie. Kind of like David Lee Roth at the start of "I'm just a Gigolo."

Le Inc, your pronunciation of bhowie is the same as mine.

My UN is pronounced "el stitcherino" but stitchy is also fine.

Got a workout mat (aka, yoga mat but not neon), some light weight dumbbells and a resistance kit. Finally working out. It started as rehab on my shoulder but then kind of morphed in to, "How much work can I do with 5lb/8lb dumbbells, resistance kit (10/15/20/25/30) and a mat? Turns out, a hell of a lot.

Main goal: more vertical and a faster arm swing.

    It's tough.

Edit: Hey guys. Been a while.. super busy lately.

making me happy: one thing about being stuck in the office for lunch, you can sneak in a few minutes of naptime to shake off the previous night's hangover. :)
