1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Just read up on ENTP; it almost sounds a bit too good to be true. Makes for a good personality for an executive or politician, methinks.

Haven't taken it in a very long time, but the INTP description has always fit me like a glove.

Not sure how to actually use that information though. Its not like it is telling me what kind of job I want...it is telling me what kind of job other INTPs also like which is probably less informative than knowing what kind of work I actually like to do.

Yeah, I mean, I don't think it really tells you much of anything other than what your personality type is. I don't think it needs too much reading-into.

Do people actually take this MB stuff uber seriously?

I suppose there might be something to using it to measure compatibility or suitability for a role. I mean, it is never going to be absolute, but is a pretty solid descriptor for most people. Obviously, I would know I am introverted without taking a test, but it is useful for classifying an unknown person's personality.

I could see people investigating how different MB types respond to different therapies.

You're right, but I also agree with HRoi in that it doesn't really fit all that well unless you're at the extremes. For example, even when I consistently got ISTJ, there were definitely parts of the profile that I exhibited and agreed with, but there were also components that were way, way off.

Same still applies for the ENTJ profile I just got, although less so. I'm more of an ANTJ, if that works (ambivert).

I'm an INTJ, which I believe means slightly introverted smartass douchebag.

My brother and his wife gave me a bottle of very good port. It is better than the stuff I buy for myself. Maybe I will drink so much of it that my limbs will no longer function as the Lord intended.

Also, they took me to a ridiculously good restaurant last night. (Again, not the kind I'd ever treat myself to.) The two best meals I've ever had in my life have been at that restaurant.

ENTJ every time and I also score well on intuition and empathy. That's right; I'm the perfect profile for a leader.

You need empathy to manipulate people. How else are you going to figure out what makes them tick?

Actually, this is true. I've recently caught myself being aware on-the-fly of how I could behave or say certain things in a given situation with someone or a group of people in order to elicit a specific response, or to attempt at influencing their behavior.

It's kinda scary. But kinda cool, tbh. I've noticed I can get people to agree with me easily, too. It's great.
