    I have two key chains: one has a single key (the car), the other has two keys (our front door). I don't get why you folks need so many keys.

    NYC is no St. Louis, that's for sure. But it's a pretty good city, all things considered.

    I pronounce it as St. Louis, en français.

    When I first moved here, I was very disappointed at the way the locals pronounced things. Streets and surrounding cities have such beautiful French names, but they are anglicized and thus uglified. Chouteau Avenue, for example, is pronounced SHOW-doh. Creve Coeur is pronounced KREEV-KOOR. And Gravois is pronounced GRAV-oy. Irregardless, in my own mind I pronounce them in French.
