I posted on facebook something yesterday that struck me, a personal thing about changes in my life. got a huge response, possibly the biggest response I have ever gotten including some really nice words from people. it was totally unexpected and very moving

FWIW, I don't usually read long posts on FB but I liked yours even if I didn't "like" it.

    All good stuff guys.

I was doing the bills and looking at receipts. My usual social life stopped April 28th and the move began. Went out for the first time last Saturday and tonight hitting one of my usual haunts again for the first time since my life was taken over by moving. The somm is doing bubbles tonight and recently bought this:

I shall be sabering some Champs tonight at a world class resort. :slayer:

Extra kicker: it's just two minutes from my new front door so drive home will rock.

You use it to slice off the top of a bottle of champagne in grand ceremonies.

You don't actually slice. You slide it along the bottle where the seam is and the top actually breaks off. Looking forward to trying it.

As I was walking down the stairs of my building this morning, a lady sitting on the steps said "That is a great outfit you're wearing." (I'm wearing Mabitex pants that are wasabi green and a baby blue gingham shirt.) Then she said "Are you a doctor? You look like you're very smart." Then I had to leave because I was running a little late, but I betcha if I hadn't, she would have complimented me even more.
