1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The Christmas Song - the original Nat King Cole version. How did we lose all our class and style? The CEO came to shake my hand an hour ago and I'm having scotches at my club until I need to leave.

I agree - whatever that italicized part means.

Usually the Christmas season is very hard for me. Starting around Dec. 22, I just hunker down emotionally and try to get through it. But for some reason, I'm very happy this Christmas season. I don't know what's different about this year.

Making me happy is a few weeks where all I have to do is exist. A nice little hiatus from our usual lives. Sitting out back in the sun with a pipe and a Bourbon right now (Pappy 15), doing some reading, cruising the Netwebs, and knowing the most pressing thing I have to do today is decide what wines we're bringing to dinner tonight.

Hope everyone is having as relaxing a week as we are.

I'll be honest, I've been spelling honour and neighbour and all those words with a u because it pissed off my fourth grade English teacher, Mrs. Delany. The dictionary we had at the time had honour as an alternate spelling which therefore was not technically wrong on a spelling test. I hated her so much that every chance I could to fuck with her I took advantage of. The spelling has since stuck with me and every time I write it I think of her being unhappy with me and it makes me happy.

When I was in second grade, I insisted on spelling Jeff as Geoff, even if the person's name really was Jeff. I had a baseball card for Geoff Zahn of the Twins, and my mom explained to me that it was pronounced "Jeff." I thought that was the coolest thing in the world. My teacher did not.

You should have just gone full blown and used "Gottfried."

Spoke to one of my clients in state prison. His case is shit but he's really looking forward to tonight. Amid the terrible drudgery of prison there is one bright point amongst the rapes and beatings. On Christmas Eve every prisoner gets an ice cream sandwich.

    Merry christmas.

Ham is my least favorite of all roasts. I'm doing a tenderloin roast. Made one about 8 weeks ago and it was :slayer:

Set a new record for the week leading up to christmas for my boss money wise, and just got done scrubbing the entire shop. A present that couldnt make the boss happier and didnt cost me a dime. I think now is the time to smoke the family reserve old man padrón gave me. Its been a good day.

Did Christmas tonight with the parents, brother, and sister-in-law. Had a great night, everyone enjoyed the gifts and it was fun hanging out. (currently watching Home Alone with everyone) My homemade egg nog was a big hit (fingers crossed no salmonella). Going to wake up tomorrow and cook lunch for the crowd we have coming over.

    Cheers, all. Merry Christmas!
