new apartment found.
Good for you, teger. Now you get to join me in that world of hurt known as "moving."
I can't believe I survived through it last year. I was homeless for a month between my rental and my closing. I had to live with my girlfriend out in east bumblefuck. I wanted to put a bullet in my head and end it all. The closing took forever and they kept wanting more and more bank statements and more pay stubs. It was a nightmare. I had to move my stuff into storage and then again into my new place.
mazal tov, great news. i know that had been a PIA before. glad its done.
I'm very fortunate that my family owns properties in Montreal, Maine, Virginia, Athens, Oslo, and an island (or two....I'm not sure) in the Philippines.
I'm guaranteed never homeless.
Well, I mean I could have commuted to New York for work from my parent's house in Jersey, but my mother is a handful.
I'm going to leave this low-hanging fruit alone.
no, no. [redacted mom joke]
as I am now 5 days removed from my last apartment flooding scare (and know the cause so I think I can prevent them in the future) I am starting to drift back to "maybe I should just stick with the original plan and stay for one more year instead of dealing with moving".
Cleaning up from a flooding sucks....but so does moving and since cleaning up from a flood is almost like moving (you might not put everything in boxes, but every piece of furniture gets moved a couple times) it might make sense to just risk it and then just pack up and move immediately if there is a flood.
Given your family's great wealth I am constantly impressed that you have decided to work the endless hours that being the chief resident and also a neurosurgeon require. You are quite the man person, Neo.
Oh, it's not a stretch. Back when I, ahem, watched TV - specifically Grey's Anatomy - there was this orthopedic surgeon who married one of the interns, was later revealed to be an heiress, and eventually became a lesbian. It can totally happen.
No, I agree, it totally could. Also, Neo has plenty of time to take care of his family's empire as he is the only chief resident and neurosurgeon that has every weekend off.
just spoke with le boss.
i have verbal assurance that i get at the least another 90 days on the same arrangement as i have presently, possibly more (more commitment and more money that is). we will discuss the particulars towards the end of the month. thank g-d.
