After spending the last couple Friday nights and most of my last few weekends working on my Jeep, I finally got it touched up and ready to serve as my DD. I took the missus and the LowerCaseG out for a spin a little while ago, and now I'm sitting on the sofa relaxing for the first time in quite some time.

Yeah, I imagine it will be a fine line to walk. If I'm too nuts they might lock me away, and I'd be stuck with actual crazy people for the rest of my life.

    Congrats!

Glad to hear mama and baby are doing well.

Just got time to watch the two live shows by 30 Rock. Probably first thing I genuinely laughed about all week.

I got into an accident while riding my bike with another biker. It was on Kent Ave after my wife and I ate brunch and had some coffee. We both kinda just ran into eachother I got T-Boned trying to cross by a woman on a heavy duty assed dutch bike.

Luckily I was on my heavy steel (albeit brand new commuter). We both fell over gracefully. Many Many onlookers (since it was near the East River Park). My wife was ashamed and rode away laughing...

both of us involved in the accident couldn't have been more cordial:

    "are you ok?"
"i'm fine. what about you - are you ok?"
"yup, i'm fine. Ok lets check our bikes and everything".

we then asked each other if we were both ok twice while seeing if our bikes were fine.

    everyone was fine.

I also got a free double chocolate cookie from the pretty barista/baker chick at Blue Bottle - I thought I bought the last one for my wife - but a new batch was laid out - and I asked if I could buy another one... she knowingly smiled and just gave it to me. :

This is the kind of ingenuity that made America great. Can't decide between cup or cone? Get both.

I brought a modest 1992 armagnac to my uncle's birthday. He opened it up in the restaurant incurring a corkage fee and started dishing it out to the rest of the birthday party.

Somehow cocktails, apertif and wine were skipped.

Excellent. Hope baby starts sleeping through the night early.

    ...

Today, grilled chicken for dinner and earlier took the son to the local HS for some football training.
