Best MN weather I can remember, now just enjoying spring/summer, waiting to leave for basic training. Now my only dilemma is deciding if I should get a temporary min wage job for half a year or so until I leave, or keep my current horrible job where I have a significant risk of injury. All other aspects of my life are pretty great. I am also enjoying my 75% Irish ancestry :hide:

Had a great St. Pat's day. With the holiday being on a Saturday and the weather being perfect the crowds came out in droves (an estimated half million were downtown today). A friend of the wife had a family party in a hotel room overlooking the hotel. Had a corned beef sandwich and a beer before going out to brave the masses. Afterwards, had a beer or four and made our way back home.

At my job, I have to undergo a retention review every year. I have to document all the stuff I've done over the previous year, including all sorts of evidence to insure that I'm not lying, in a massive three-ring binder. It has taken me all weekend to put this binder together, and it's been a massive waste of my valuable time. But I will focus on the good part: it's taking me a long time to do because I really did accomplish a lot last year. I'm typically very critical of myself with regard to my work, but I'm actually quite happy looking back on what I got done.

I finally found a supplier for tasteful industrial tables. I've been trying to set up my studio space and it was really difficult finding quality wood and steel mass-produced ones that weren't either hideous or over $1000 for a 72" table.

I had a terrific day. Took the dog for a long walk this morning followed by an hour on the elliptical at the gym a long with a light workout. Then decided to run a couple miles. The run was the best of all because I was restricted from running for four weeks because of my foot injury. I ran fine, and had no problems afterwards. In fact, I was under strict orders to run only a mile, slowly, but I was feeling too good to stop at one. To top it all off, later this afternoon I road my bike for about 10 miles. A great day.
