I don't get to hang out with my best friend all that often since hes gotten married and is working full time while finishing his degree. Last night we hung out and got shitfaced, reminisced about the good ole days and just had a generally awesome time.:D

Congrats thomas, missed that post earlier! I might have made it half a block from the start so that's REALLY impressive to me!

Also, stupid linguistics achievement, someone switched to Danish halfway through a post and I didn't notice it wasn't in English til after I read it :)

So I posted an ad on craigslist to look for a roommate for when I move down to Dallas and some guy got back to me. He was articulate and seemed really down to earth so I flew down to Dallas this weekend to look at apartments and meet up with him. He's a pretty chill guy and we get along very well. Anyway, long story short, found a nice apartment and signed the lease with him. Paying less than what I pay for rent in Boston and the place is infinitely nicer.

    :slayer:

Now I just need to find a subletter for my Boston apt (that's pissing me off).

I am very glad to be home and back in my own bed (not to mention not being surrounded by lawyers working 17 hour days).

That being said, I really enjoyed my free day in NOLA (decided to take the last flight out last night instead of the morning flight). Getting out of the super shitty stretch of downtown and seeing the daytime french quarter and garden district was nice. Would like to go back sometime for pleasure.

it was only 11 days total (it was only supposed to be 3...poor pair of shoes had to suffer through no rotation and only 6 hours in the trees between wears), but it was straight "get up, shower, go to conference room, work, go home and sleep" so there was really no time to see anything in the city.

We had dinner at a real restaurant once...and sometimes made it to a bar that wasn't in the hotel if it had been more like a 15 hour day than a 17 hour day.

But by pushing back my return flight I still got to see the nice parts of the city and got to grab lunch at a restaurant I have wanted to go to since someone left the cookbook behind in an apartment I moved into in 2007 :)
