Seed the clouds! Muuuusttt seeeeee "the fire barrier" before I ... d... d... die.
Nice, thank you.
If you ever need a hookup on premium cigars I'm your man.
Until I go to grad school or get a real job, at least.
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
Sure, I got em. Frankly since the gov't takeover of production, the last ten or so sh!tty growing seasons, and everyone else stepping up their game they're not what they used to be, and there's better stuff out there now. If thats what you like though I'm more than happy to oblige.
Premium cigars is not a real gig? I would have tought there'd be plenty of dosh in that.
Ah, the Georgia town of Cumming... where half the fun is getting there.
So yesterday, I noticed that our biggest competitor got a story totally wrong and ours set the record straight. And then this morning, by pure luck, I found a story and broke some major news. F.T.W.
The wait is going to be the hardest part - they're not starting the interviews for a bit, and then I'll have to wait for a decision - so it could be weeks before I know. Also, like I said, the competition sounds like it's going to be tough to beat. That said, I have a good feeling, so who knows what may come of it?
Either way, I'll post here if I get good news (though you may all hear me celebrating all the way from Georgia long before I have a chance to post).
Acid - I'll let you know how you can be of assistance. All's fair in love and new jobs, right?
this is great info, i may hit you up on that offer.
waiting is teh wurst. ugh. good luck.
good luck, g-money. hope it goes well for you.
I am reading The Prince for the first time since college. It is amazing how much more I am picking up from it this time around.
Many good things happening in this thread since I've gone on my weekend hiatus.
Good luck to ed, hope you get a house soon.
Lowndes, grats on the impending fatherhood. Actually, you're probably a father right now. Either way, wishing you the best.
Nice work GT.
Stitchy, you're going to have to hook me up with platinum teeth and 2 carat diamond studs :baller:
Good luck with the job, G.
Life seems like it's working out for you, CT...finally!
For me, I just had a great weekend celebrating my good friends birthday in Atlantic City. I spent way more money than I wanted to but I don't really care. He had an awesome time which is what's important, especially since his fiancee called everything off 3 months ago. It was an epic night followed by two days of rest and relaxation.
There is if you're not working as a retail employee, or a SBO. the boutique brands make some money, the "walmart" style ones make more, but the state governments make the most.
case in point, the cost per stick would be five bucks. six with federal tax (roughly) and the shipping averaged in. if you used a 2x markup on JUST the wholesaler (which a lot of retailers try to do) and you're in nj or a lot of other NE states with ludicrously high state taxes (30% on the wholesale value) you wind up charging 10 dollars for a cigar based on a 5$ wholesale, that ACTUALLY cost you 7.50, but if you charged 15 to maintain a standard retail margin for it you'd lose business because everyone would think you're ripping them off.
Cigarettes are even worse. With smokes that are 9-14 dollars a pack in our shop, the most we make on any cigarette is about 1.95 because the cigarette tax is per pack and works out much higher.
I always doubted the validity of his advice to the prince given how much he hated royalty. that book was just kissing the ring so he could get back into florence.
Still better than the art of war. I was expecting profound tactical insights, but it was the equivalent of a drunk boxing coach explaining to a beginner "Hit him, don't get hit. Good luck."
sounds pretty to me
Just booked my hotel for vacations in Maitencillo, Chile. I hear it's really beautiful there. Four days in paradise from 27 Feb on!
I definitely had to get out of hot Santiago during my month of vacations..
