My son came home from daycare on Wednesday with a nasty stomach bug. He was puking pretty bad, and he was clearly miserable (not what's making me happy). However, it didn't last very long at all - he was done getting sick by Wednesday night, and he's pretty much back to normal already. Also, MrsG and I aren't showing any symptoms, despite both being vomited upon. I was very concerned that we'd end up with a G family epidemic, but it looks like he's better and mommy/daddy managed to avoid this one. Here's hoping we're all still good for the weekend!

    Also, Swype.

I hope this strokes your ego too... Douglas, you are the best stupid-ass poster on SF.

It was because of the shoutout you gave me, am I correct?

    I get you Neo.

Got up early (again, but unusual for a Friday) and banged out a quick 4-miler, got the kids off to school and at work early.

They really make some awesome speakers. Ribbon tweeter, carbon fiber woofer, balanced and unbalanced inputs. They sound awesome. Adam goes really high end too; some of their speakers cost as much as 250,000 bucks! The A3X are entry level, but are still rather high quality. There are lots of reviews online. Some say best bang for your buck in this price range.

Can't really compare with Bose because these are active (powered) studio monitors, not home theater speakers. But for my money, I'd much rather have these!

I think he was making a joke about the Bose. However those Adams speakers look fantastic. Even their "entry" home theater line looks incredible.

I still prefer to build my own speakers though...

I totally relate...my son started a fever on Sunday, which is diagnosed as influenza A on Monday, twin 1 starts the fever Monday night, Tuesday morning I head off on a business trip, twin 2's fever starts on Tuesday afternoon. My wife's influenza kicks in on Wednesday morning. Now, Friday night, I came home to a convalescing family....hoping that the contagious period is done.

    haha yeah I thought so.

Adam's home theater is prohibitively expensive for me though. We're talking ultra-high end, 30k+ a pair. I'll do with 600 a pair for now!
