    the stitch family now has a family car for the first time.

    did a few days research online and went to go buy a honda pilot. found 2 options at pretty much the identical price (+/- $400) at the dealer i go to.

    car 1 - 08 pretty basic model with 43k miles, and was CPO with an extended warranty.

    car 2 - 06 fully loaded, leather, nav, backup cam.... 65k miles non CPO.

    since im a whore i wanted the 06 badly, but the car is for the wife mostly and she said she doesnt care about features. she would rather have a later model car with fewer miles, and not have to worry about repairs for an extra few years. i was a good hubby and got her the car she wanted. all in all i think it was the prudent choice, but i like features. im happy tho.

    here she is;

    Certified Pre-Owned. It means a high school drop-out with a coke problem and three kids he's trying to dodge child support payments for rotated the tires and changed the oil. Although he probably used an air wrench to put the drain pan's plug back in so it's now stripped.

    EDIT - But congrats on the car stitch, looks great.

    So I was just invited to be on the Board of a fairly prominent local institution. It is my first such invitation and I am pretty excited about being a big shot. Unfortunately, it's not a place I have a particularly high opinion of, though to be fair, I also don't know a whole heck of a lot about it. :( Thinking it over.

    Anyways, it's an honor just to be asked so it stroked my ego on a day when I think I kind of needed it.

    certified pre owned see below

    lol, it means it went through a specific check list, with a honda that has a clear carfax its not really a big deal to me. but in this case it mattered to me because it meant it also comes with a much longer warranty.

    thanks harvey!

    :lol:

    Would you be paid as a board member? I would consider if the answer is yes. Plus, can't hurt a resume.

    I have been thinking about being a voluntary board member for a non-profit for the experience.
