    I'd never heard it before so I googled, first result;

    Legend. I summered in Ireland and the guys were usually built big. One kid was huge, the kind that you wondered how he managed not to look freakish in his jeans. I did know a few guys with small ones, but they were the exceptions.

    All uncut, of course, both Catholics and Protestants. No division there. A bit on the psycho side, most of them - a lot of drama and performance and then romance and worry that you weren't going to keep calling.

    And their complexions with that fair skin . . .

    It has been a good few days for the consumerist in me. Got a new pair of poplin pants and some new boat shoes at the end of last week, and my new Samsung Galaxy S II should be here tomorrow. I've had smartphones for years, but I'd kind of gotten behind on the tech. This will be my first next-gen phone, so I'm stoked. There are more important things in life than material things, but sometimes it's fun to get new stuff!

    Incidentally, for those of you with these newfangled glass-screen phones, do you use any kind of screen protectors? I've picked up a sweet case, but I'm iffy on the screen stuff. The Gorilla Glass is supposed to be solid, and I'd hate to miss out on all the awesomeness that is the screen by covering it in plastic. On the other hand, it would be just my luck to drop the phone and scratch the screen on day one.

    I don't personally use a case, I am just careful. I mean, I see people with these smashed up looking cases and I don't see how it would be different than a smashed up phone with less bulk. So far I have been lucky just being careful with mine.

    If you are ever feeling down. Buy something. :)

    I go bareback with my iPhone 4 and did with my 3g before that. I have not had problems with glass breaking, in spite of a few drops and in spite of having a 2-year-old. They're fairly tough. For me it's a bit of a personal preference, as I really don't like the added bulk of a case and I feel that cases make the phone not slip in and out of pockets as I'd like. I am cognizant, however, that I am living a little dangerously. I do have a nick or two around the perimeter sides of the phone but they don't bother me.

    I did once try the invisible shield thing but I found that annoying as well. I didn't like the way the screen looked and reacted and also the thing just didn't stay on for me.

    The one regret I do have about going caseless is the fact that my camera lens is subtly scratched over time. You lay that thing down on its back all the time and it just slowly leaves its mark. My iPhone simply doesn't take very good photos anymore. Next time I do this I may try to find something that protects the lens a little bit.

    I don't use a screen protector or a case. I try to always handle my phone with care, and hope not to drop it.
