shit, I was up at 3 before the alarm went off. Not that I'm really happy about it, but it was what it was, and I got some house-type stuff done before heading out.

I always wake up naturally at about 4:40 am. Then I go back to sleep and I am exhausted when my alarm goes off at 6:40am.

    Friday!

^ I wish I could make that more Thomas/t4-y with the big font and garish colours but too lazy to do so.

I might have had a few drinks last night which aided me in sleeping in to such a late hour.

    T-bone with the assist

Awesome on the baby steps. We filmed our girl's first steps and posted to FB. We're such geeks.

    ...

So, something else making me happy. I posted in a friend's defense regarding an ongoing news issue around these parts. He left me a voicemail thanking me and mentioned that we ought to meet up soon for lunch - which made my day. He's good people, been put through the wringer for doing the right thing, and I'm glad to support him - even if it seems like a small thing.

Sounds like a lot of good news coming your way, T. Congrats!

    That's awesome!

Does your daughter give lessons? LowerCaseG is proving to be a big procrastinator when it comes to walking.

idk, but i think she is. :)

    thanks MrG

lol, ill ask her, but you have to provide airfare. for now she looks like a drunken penguin wobbling around. she is pretty young so its really odd to see a human of that size walking. its kind of like this, but slower, and without the hat and briefcase.

    I love that penguin.

Kids under two fly free, bro. Just find someone at the airport with a ticket to Hartsfield, leave her with them, and I'll pick her up on the other end. You gotta be creative.

She's got a couple of older siblings, right? I hear they tend to walk earlier when they're not the oldest.

The funny thing about my son is that he has great balance and body control, but he just doesn't care to walk alone. He can get on his rocking horse no problem, he uses one of those push walkers to walk to us, he "cruises," and he's even able to climb the little slide at his daycare and slide down without a bit of help. He does not, however, give a crap about taking solo steps. I'm sure he'll get there soon enough, though, and I'm probably going to be exhausted from chasing him, so I'm not exactly heartbroken by the delay.
