are those Mexican shishitos spicy? Because the shishitos in Japan are mild, like a tiny wrinkly green pepper with a mild kick, whereas we have them in Korea and they're hot as fuck、I don't know if they've been hybridized or not here, but they will put a little hole in your mouth if you try to eat them like the Japanese ones, which I love when I go eat yakitori.

    Japanese version:

Korean version (often made into a sweet soy style braised banchan)

final meal on United Airlines business class today was a glass of Nicolas Feuillate, and two open faced sandwiches on a white bread 'American baguette' :fu: Wish we hit an iceberg so I could've ended it all there, I would've wrote them a note that the food sucked as we were sinking.

Yeah, sorry, they were shishitos. And this is not a purist sushi place. They have tataki and other stuff.

they're erratic. about 90% of them are completely mild and fruity. then you'll hit one that'll lift your head off. just pray that's not the first one you get. i've had the same experience with padrons.

I know this was special, uncommon etc...but seriously, how did these dudes not get fat as shit? I mean that's easily thousands of calories, even if served in small portions. Shit dudes ate unhealthily.

Portion control. And really, are their nutritional habits any worse than what most americans are eating now?

Hung at out this place in Philly last night. It can be a really hectic scene, but the heat must've kept everyone at home. They have a pretty crazy beer list--pages and pages of stuff (the bottles aren't listed on the online menu) that I'd never even heard of anywhere else. I got to try out a lot of stuff including:

and an ESB whose name I can't remember.

Also had delicious smoked beef tongue and some cheese. Tried Livarot for the first time.

Just had a delicious lunch at Jean Georges' ABC Restaurant. Somewhere between the chicken liver toast and the ricotta ravioli, I couldn't help but recall this verse.

    Quote:
    Psalm 104:15

Truer words, have never been spoken.
