My wife, who makes the guacamole in our house, is one generation removed from bean pickers. Of course, she also grew up in Cupertino and is half Irish, which probably destroys any sort of authenticity she can claim w/r/t anything food related.

I only add tomatoes if I'm eating it immediately. It's fine without them, but I prefer their sweetness.

I saw a recipe on Epicurious recently that I've wanted to try. Avocado, take out the pit, fill it with crab meat.

I like crabs and I like avocado. Bi-winning.
