1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Yes. I first found them at Fairway in Stamford, CT. They have a great selection of imported canned fish.

best canned sardines I've ever eaten ... by a long shot: Les Mouettes D’Arvor “Ville Bleue” Vintage 2011. yes, vintage canned sardines. but they are amazing.

When I was working steady at the fish market last summer I'd eat about 1/4lb of those every morning for breakfast after I ended my shift, usually from 4am until 8:30. Being around fish seems to put one in the mood to eat them. :)

I was surprised how nice the texture/firmness of the flesh is. I plan to make some homemade pizza in the next few weeks and will slice them up to go on at least one 'za.

love boquerones. good on pizza, really nice on french-style sliced potato salad. work well on a caesar, too. or on toast with a little pickled red bell pepper underneath.

Son's first effort in high school cooking class. Has never shown the slightest interest in cooking, but couldn't wait to send me this pic. There's hope.

i don't think so. As I get older, I know less poors. I can ask my wife, she knows more people in the artsy crowd.

next time you're at Solex, bring me 3-4 dozen eggs. Srs.
