It’s really mainly great for the chocolate croissants in the airline lounges

Brokencycles demented and deranged ramblings reminds one how is it is to forget not only the plebeians but their pedestrian travel life as well.

Yeah, no Paris airport lounge for me: just frantically trying to get to my connection when CZA is 45 minutes late.

I have no idea what edina is rambling about but I've also had to go through a security line just to board my connecting flight at CDG. Missed the flight but thanks to those non-libertopian EU consumer rights I got a free hotel room.

Airports just suck...as does flying.

But CDG airport is a special kind of suckiness.
Missed my connection there several times due to those inter terminal checks. Thing is I only see that airport when I’m flying in from Tel Aviv, so the security checks are utterly utterly meaningless. The lounges imho are a bit cramped, but the food is good (can’t imagine the French serving crappy food).

shopping however, is great. Wife loves kushmi tea and the various kinds of chocolate you can buy there..

I don't know, I don't have to do inter-terminal security but I also stay Air France/Delta so maybe it's technically only hall-to-hall transfers I'm doing. But CZA is Skyteam so who knows. I had to go to one of CDG's way way way out-there satellite terminals and don't remember any security transfers.

Air travel isn't bad. 98% of my trips are in economy and at least eight hours with long layovers generally included.

Then again I'm not a pathetic *****.

At the duty free epicerie they have these jars of little sausages. Next time you're flying through you should grab a couple. They are really good saucissons and because of their size, perfect for snacking. Come on, @HRoi ....

You made that post just so you could use the word “saucissons”, didn’t you?

"Road trip everywhere" isn't such a great motto when you live on an island.
