cell phones in general; absurd ringtones, and people who shout into them instead of talking in particular. That's what the electronics are for, you idiots. And is it just me who notices that black people tend to shout into them regardless of their surroundings; quiet or noisy, they SHOUT. J*s*s Ch**st! Tone it down a little; there is enough unwanted noise pollution as it is.

+1. It's annoying as hell on the subway when one person in particular is walking up and down the car literally yelling into their phone. Ugh.

Who the hell gets reception in the subway? That is one of the things going on now in NYC is that they want to install underground phone carrier relays and wireless for use on trains.
