Prince William and Kate have been visiting Boston for a few days and the local paper of record is all over this "story." No offense intended to our British posters, but I despise royalty, the notion that certain people need to be accorded respect and kept in comfortable material circumstances on the public dime for no reason other than accident of birth. I can't stand the fawning media coverage, with the inevitable stories about how Americans just can't get enough of the royals (trust me: many of us can). I am hibbeldy-gibbeldy with anticipation that they will soon leave so that sports, politics, and revenge can once more assume their pride of place in the news.
Well, I for one would like to afford Kate the opportunity to run her hands through my full head of hair...

Semi-related: though I agree with your sentiment (fully) above, the Celtics coach had what is quite possibly the corniest press conference answer I have ever seen in my life. Would have LOVED the camera flipping to catch a view of the reporter pool after this doozy was dropped.

Why do Americans love to present themselves to the rest of the world as such rubes??

He hasn't raped anyone in 3 months? Such progress

Beginning to think this type of behavior is not uncommon for NFL players, and that's why he is still in the league. I couldn't imagine having to work alongside someone who made a poor woman **** on herself out of fear after just being forced to blow him. He should be locked in prison for the rest of his life.

I know that the NFL domestic violence rates are far lower than the general population. I suspect their sexual assault are either lower or in line with general pop.
