Yup. Looks like I brought SoCal weather with me. No rain since I’ve been here and it’s supposed to be 71 tomorrow.

I had the same experience. My only visit to Seattle had fantastic weather and now I feel like I’ll ruin it if I go back.

Two gripes:

1) Weather forecasters. All week they've been calling for a hot, muggy weekend with temperatures hitting 90 or above. The reality: yesterday peaked at 72 and today will be similar. These people couldn't predict a fart at a bean supper.

2) Street musicians. Those precious and few days in the northeast where one can sit comfortably outside have begun, and already the popular public spaces are getting commandeered by modest talents armed with guitars, drums, and whatnot. It would be nice to sit in the sun with a beverage and watch the world go by to the accompaniment of summer's sounds alone. They all have a tip jar. I wish they had two: one to express approval and another to vote thumbs down. Let the people decide. As Judge Smalls observed in "Caddyshack," the world needs ditch diggers too.

I was planning to invite mis compadres for steak and wine. Had couple of picanhas and some bottles of fantastic reds. I dont know what happened but because one thing or another I am drinking by myself. Life is good but I am still mad about no spending this beautiful day with my friends.

Re: Seattle - My wife and I went out there for a wedding in June of ‘11 and the weather was absolutely miserable. I think we were there nearly a week I never saw the sunshine and I don’t think the temps ever got above 55° or so. I remember watching the local news one morning and then talking about a couple of the skiing spots outside the city still being open and how it was by far the latest in the season they had ever remained open.
