Goddammit, Georgia.

All of my Dawg fan friends and family, and even a bunch who aren’t UGA fans, spent the back half of last week calling a Georgia win. I heard people who are otherwise pretty measured when it comes to their expectations doing things like predicting a two-touchdown-plus UGA win.

I, on the other hand, was telling anyone who would listen that we’re still talking about Smart vs. Saban. More critically, in terms of the CFP, last night was a must-win for Bama/Saban, while the whole country has been saying for weeks that Georgia was in if it won out the regular season regardless of what happened in the SECCG (cue Saban quote about “rat poison”).

Georgia was mostly better on paper, but there was literally nothing about the intangibles that favored the Dawgs. I thought UGA was at least past its traditional, once-a-year meltdown, so I expected it to be competitive regardless of who won, but there’s nothing about a Bama win that surprised me. It’s weird to me that it surprised anyone.

What's most.... i dont know if damning or vexing or perplexing is the right word.... about kirby is the number of 5* qbs who sign with uga but never play. Like i know its pretty elementary here but a yop tier qb this year?

How many 5 star QB’s actually pan out? Seems like there are more 5 star QB flameouts vs other positions. Not just at UGa but all universities.

So... this would be a good argument, if Georgia hadn't started Jake Fromm overJacob Eason, Justin Fields, etc etc. Smart has an uncanny ability to start the worst QB on his roster at any time. Including right now starting Bennett over JT Daniels

This certainly made my brother-in-law jibbledy last week...

Had dinner one evening with my SiL and her other half who is a renowned surgeon. The next morning he is reading a magazine and mentions an article in it to her. 10 minutes later she asks him something about it and he says "What article"? You know, in that magazine. "I haven't read any magazine". He doesn't remember having breakfast or what they had discussed doing during the day.

They both have a WTF moment and rush to the ER. He is like, "Why are we at the hospital?"

CT and MRI come back clean. Yeah, said the neurologist casually, no biggie, it's probably just TGA, stay here overnight and you'll be back to normal in the morning.

So he had transient global amnesia and 24 hours later was completely fine again. o_O
