What is it that you say you do again?

When I say after hours service...I mean phone answering service. So if someone calls at 2am.....the service will say "press 1 for XYZ...2 for ABC...etc."

I believe press 4 or 5 is marketing. So the calls went to HER MARKETING phone and she walks a piece of paper into my office with phone numbers. I'm not in marketing.

Call the numbers back and follow-up! She literally looked puzzled when I told her to do that.

Well she just learned how to use the phone! I'd be confused as **** too if I just learned how to use a phone that day.

We utilize a CRM here. A recent/former employee entered a note:

-Tried to LVM for XYZ regarding the status. Vm was full. No alt phone or e-mail listed. I looked up his place of biz. I am hesitant to contact him at his place of biz!

Literally...2 notes down was another note with the guy's e-mail. Not 2 pages down. 2 NOTES. All clearly seen on 1 screen.

WHAT THE ****! Some of these people can not figure things out!

And hesitant to contact him at his place of biz? Huh!

I guess that's why they are no longer here!

Same marketing chica stops by my office and says....

-I'm headed out.
-I say....Have a good night
(Though it's barely 3pm)
-She says...do you need anything?
-I say....I'm good...thank you.
-She says...Huh? Am I ok?
-I am puzzled again....I say...You asked if I needed anything and I said...nope...thank you.
-She says...oh. ok.

How do these people get by our screeners?

It sounds like you work for a great organization. PM details, so I can apply.

Got an IRS notice that they want to audit our 2016 tax return for the second time due to "incomplete information." In the same week, they sent us a $75K refund for 2017 with absolutely no explanation. These were particularly messy years as we were filing in South Africa, France, the UK and the US. Thankfully it was all done by PwC, although apparently not that well?

This doesn't mean much.

Signed a former KPMG and PwC employee (I never worked in the tax practice though)

Nice. We still haven't gotten our refund for this year. Which probably doesn't bode well? I genuinely don't know why. I can only assume we missed a form somewhere and they have to make a manual correction which is backlogged 5 years at this point. Who the hell knows

It hurts to see him so old.

He was a legit rockstar for me growing up. and is a musical influence.

I guess we all grow old. .
