Carpet tiles. Is he posing at one of those "starving artists" sales in a cheap hotel lobby?

"No you can't play with it. You won't enjoy it on as many levels as I do."

That is so stunningly accurate it's hard to believe. It's as if Groening was reading the styfo watch thread when he wrote that line.

Foo's dissonance between his clothes (very traditional/'boring'/anti-mainstream) vs cars (bright blue, increased muffler sound, etc) and watches (name brand!!!, mainstream) is interesting to me

you didn't even mention his sense of industrial design which is "stripped of all pretense down to only what is functional"

this is the craziest thing to me. how can someone who wears double breasted suits talk about eliminating everything that does not serve a functional purpose?

Apropos of the steak thread I just had the frightening/sad thought of if he decided to start cycling or drink wine. Either would be a dark day for StyFo.

Plants really enhance a home, although they often introduce nasty pests. Right now I am fighting a battle with fungus gnats, which breed in wet soil. I'm using sticky strips to trap them. It's disgusting to see how many are living with you. I think the tide is slowly turning now that I've started using mosquito bits to kill the larvae and watering plants from the bottom to minimize the breeding grounds.
