There was some bullshit about dogs a few pages back about tearing up toys or throwing them down a hill. Last night our puppy who is all of 4-5 months caught and ate a bird. My wife was horrified and I called her Bird Dog for the rest of the night.

The last show I saw was William Ryan Key of Yellowcard fame a couple years back. Used to go to a lot of punk rock shows in the early 2000s. One of my favorites was seeing Reel Big Fish and Goldfinger together a few times in Cleveland or Cincinnati. They would let people from the crowd up on stage and I got onstage in Cleveland.

One memory my metalhead friend will not let me live down is going to see Meshuggah in Chicago during grad school. We grabbed burgers a Kuma's Corner before then I got so tired during the show, I fell asleep standing up next to the pit. If you don't know who Meshuggah is, look them up...I said they weren't metal enough which is why I fell asleep.

I saw Def Lep on their first American tour.
Had my elbows on the center stage.
Both original guitarists, and the drummer had both arms.
They were the opening act.

Our dog, as a puppy, stumbled upon a nest of newborn bunnies. He played with them like squeak toys before eating them. Another time he caught a squirrel and left the uneaten tail at the patio door with a bloody paw print on the door's glass.

Both days horrified my wife as well.

Bruno Mars played one of our corporate events and it was legit one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. He’s one hell of a performer.

My wife was NOT happy to have missed it.

I forgot to mention that for the last decade about 90% of the concerts I’ve gone to have been at corporate events.

Including Bruno Mars, Metallica and Green Day.

I also saw Allan Jackson at the Houston Rodeo. Not really my thing but my friends' had an extra ticket since one of the husbands backed out.

I've missed the Weekend, Elton John, Brittany Spears, and Justin Timberlake in Austin during F1. Elton and the Weekend were missed because it was on Sunday after the race so I had to get back home. Brittany I didn't care to see and Justin was during the Astros vs Yankees pennant.

I’ve seen so many performers right before they died that a friend of mine wanted to ban me from going to concerts.

Including Jerry, BTW: he went into a diabetic coma right after I went to a show.

That was like a year ago, right? San Antonio gets all the concerts that would've been awesome in 1986.

1999, but your point stands.

@Texasmade , I saw the remaining Lynyrd Skynyrd open for Hank Williams Jr at the Houston Rodeo.

Saw him at the Houston Rodeo, can confirm.

And the Rodeo is a terrible concert venue; a lot of performers really shouldn't play there, as it makes them seem worst than they are.
