I am trying to watch the debate and hear it, with 2 translators talking over it. and there is no option to just hear it. :brick:

Guys, help me out here. Which one of you is a Jehovah's Witness?
I have a live problem here.
My wife has a patient about to go into surgery for a Ceasarian. who will not accept a blood transfusion.

How can I help?

what is this about, and how can i make the family accept it?

I offered to go in there, but a drunk Jesuit might not be a fit.
This is real.

Well, we got a ward full of flummoxed Japanese Nurses. and I'm the "Gaijin contact". The last resort.
There has to be something.

The biggest problem with the texts is that they predate modern medicine. Whatever you ascribe to.
@RedLantern tell me why?
And it better not be tripe. or religious fluff.
(not a slight on you, but this is real time)
My wife would not ask me if it wasn't dire.

I asked about her collecting her own blood prior to surgery. -just enough, it's her own. right?
Nurses say no bueno.

Jehova's witnesses are religiously opposed to blood transfusions from other people. Some believe that plasma is okay.

Unless there is a window prior to the surgery to collect the blood and let them create more, that's not really an option, but I know a Jehova's Witness who has done just that.

But I don't know what your whole "tripe or religious fluff" comment is. It is a religious belief. The only answer on why is a religious one.

"Tripe" is anything that is not helpful.

The alarm company setup the alarm in our new house and every time we open a door it sounds like the electronic "ding-dong" of going into a corner store. It is awful and they were gone before I realized this.

Go to the control panel, there should be a settings or gear button push it, then rip the entire control panel out

Chances of a Styfo member being a J-dub is most likely 0.00.
I've known a few, and they are disagreeable eccentrics with no fashion sense.

There's a pretty good chance the husband is a JW as well.

Your language here is interesting. In the US, at least, all health care is provided with "informed consent" only. It's not the patient's job to "comply" with anyone. People here have the right to turn down health care for any reason or no reason at all, even if it leads to the person's death.

We’re doing a presentation at work where we’ve decided to all film the video in white denim jackets. I had no clue how difficult it is to find a men’s white denim jacket in October
