The great thing about deadlifts is that of all the staple compound lifts, it requires the least equipment. Just the bar and plates, no squat or bench racks. Since i do have the plates, I’m able to keep doing it at home
And all that hard work had paid off as you finally made it to the century mark! Another couple months and maybe you’ll be able to hit 110lbs.

Go watch Team China for snatch and clean and jerk. They dominate the lower weight classes.

I will say that I am incredibly flexible already, however that TFL on the right side has always been an issue even when I was young. My tailor also told me that I have a high hip on that side, which means that band is stretched tighter across the right leg. I ordered a brace for that leg and and got one of those **** guns for the TFL. The knee feels much better today, but still needs rest. It is a cruel irony that I get into exercise, hurt myself, and now can't exercise. My boss remarked that I should stick with martinis and Big Salads as it has been working well up until this point.

I also read that stretching the IT band itself is a bullshit thing to do, you have to stretch the muscles it attaches to and is ancillary to it.

Yeah im not a lineman in football so there's no need for me to be able to push things off my chest. But the deadlift? Come on,man. that works virtually every muscle and picking things up is about as functional as you can get for strength training.

Thing is with me, I don't give a **** about big muscles. I just want heart health. Apparently here all you guys just want to deadlift and get muscular butts. Makes sense.

I don't care about being big. I have such a slender frame even when I bulk up I still look thin which is fine with me because I was so fat for so long. But having good musculature is generally good overall for your health. Keep rowing and you're going to bulk up too.
