I like the windward side of the island, away from Honolulu. The North Shore is also nice, though I'd rather go later in the year, when the waves get huge. I don't surf, but it's fun to watch.

Real talk: I legit loved Honolulu, even Waikiki. If I had like a year to really explore Hawaiian life you bet I would.
