Just found out we're going from monthly variable comp payouts to quarterly in order to align with the mothership.

Sometimes i consider quitting my job and working at Trader Joes. Everybody seems so happy. I wonder if I could still wear a suit?

Sounds awful. So a quick search reveals that most positions are not paid well until about the "Store Manager" level. No way I am qualified for that.

So there seems to be this trend of people with reusable water bottles in the office. Everybody has a water bottle like they are hiking through the desert. It annoys me. It looks bad. I have a glass. I fill it up and a drink from it and then fill it up again. It looks nice. Also, we have these water filter areas to get hot and cold water, you might know them, they are called "Wellsys" systems. They aren't simple filters, they take in water, filter it and it sits in a tank that refills when low. Many people don't know this, but I do. Want to know why? I will tell you, because these morons in the office and their GIANT UGLY WATER BOTTLES constantly drain the filtered water and I have to wait to wet my whistle. Of course the company didn't have the foresight to know there are like 500 people on this floor and their might need a larger Wellsys.

This brings me to my next complaint. Each section of the floor has their own little kitchenette thing with seats. First of all if you leave your desk to sit in this little space and eat you are a weirdo, no questions asked. Now, where I am is fairly quiet because a group left the area and isn't filled yet, but furthermore it is new and nice. This one weirdo woman comes from another floor to sit there and eat lunch for 2 hours while watching a movie on her phone. I hate her. What is she hiding from her boss, or something? It irritates me to see anybody sit in this space, but her especially.

My office is an open floor plan with no assigned desks that sounds disease like Australian wildfires as part of a way to consolidate office buildings. Do you think they increased the cafeteria size or number of bathrooms to support more people?

He's in the bay area. They all have that ****. McKinsey isn't changing that.
