My Life Coach wants me to meditate and read "The Power of Now." Not necessarily at the same time.

So i heard a news anchor say this morning that we should start stocking up on hurricane preparedness items - water, paper products, non perishable food, etc. the hurricane season starts in June. I’m sure i don’t need to remind my dear readers that it’s the winter rn.

But here’s his rationale:
- if coronavirus breaks out here, then people will, voluntarily and involuntarily, quarantine themselves in their homes. And they will need the same supplies.
- that will cause a shortage that may last until June when you need this stuff for possible hurricanes
- therefore, you should get ahead of the coronavirus rush that comes ahead of the hurricane rush

My previous post got me to thinking about an idea I’ve always had about improving the quality of TV media. They should employ an average Joe/Jill to sit in on live news broadcasts or event tapings. The job of this person is to tell the on-air talent whether they said or did anything that made the person want to punch them in the face. This would be helpful feedback to stop saying these things.

I meditate, wife's hates me less because of it. I'd skip the Tolle and read 10% Happier by Dan Harris. I'll send you my copy if you want it. Decent quick read.

I value acupuncture mostly because it forces me to mindfully relax and meditate.

Different strokes, but I found Harris’s book obnoxious. Way too much time spent establishing how stressed out he was before trying mediation because he was such an over-achiever with a super important job.

Found that as well. He has another book out which is supposed to cut to the chase on meditation vs. all his back story. Maybe it is this one, "Meditation for Fidgety Skeptics: A 10% Happier How-to Book" Haven't looked into this one specifically though.

So I’m having a jerk-off sesh on Pornhub and I went to switch my material to get a pop-up that said “you were previously viewing the gay Pornhub site, would you like to switch to the straight Pornhub site?”

Never in my life, and in this age, would I think I’d be judged for my Appreciation watching by the supplier of the Appreciation. I’m offended and I might be gay.

Skip all those mindful-money grabs and just read some Thich Naht Hanh. I liked "How to Sit" but I doubt it matters much which of his books you read.
