Like Joffrey would ever succeed irregardlessWoulld you say it's through mal- or misfeasance?
Teaches quiet upper body disciplineIt looks like I re-aggravated some torn cartilage in my chest during a workout yesterday. Hurts like hell. The injury is almost a year old, took forever to heal, and this really sucks.
Shoulda flown SkyTeam.**** Cathay Pacific (and **** my employer for their ****** travel policies that led to this flight home). I'm flying Seoul > Hong Kong > Chicago > Raleigh to get home. There's a weather advisor for the winter storm in the Midwest. American Airlines, who code shares the flight, is offering free flight changes, so I think, "great, I can get around this 12 hour layover in Hong Kong and take a different flight and get home 12 hours earlier."
The problem is my employer booked through Cathay Pacific, so I have to go through them. They're like "only minor delay right now plus you have 5 hour layover in Chicago, so no need to change flight." Thanks, but there is 30 hours for that storm to get worse (which it is predicted to do) and make my delays even longer. To rub salt in the wound, I tried getting into their lounge as after flying more than 30k miles with them in two weeks I'll soon be platinum status and eligible. No, **** you pleb, come back when you're platinum next week.
Shoulda flown SkyTeam.
Also just buy a lounge pass and get work to reimburse you.
I get employers not wanting to buy biz and even premium economy. But ive found that cheaping out that much on long or complex flights so often becomes a false economy.Maybe I haven't impressed on you how ******* cheap my employer is. I don't get to pick the airline: I have to go with the lowest cost. In fact, my flight included one segment that was premium economy because it was $200 cheaper than normal coach the whole way. It was flagged and I required special approval for flying out of policy. My employer would rather I spend more to fly coach and know my place. They certainly won't pay for a lounge pass.
With a 5 hour layover? This is a legit 24 hour flight itinerary. My condolencesSeoul > Hong Kong > Chicago > Raleigh to get home.
