is wrong with people that can't hear their dogs? This woman walks her down down my street, past my house, causing my gf's dog to bark, up the street, causing the neighbors' dogs to bark, around the block, etc. Most of the time the dogs around are quiet but this one idiot dog goes around barking and makes them all go nuts. It gets so loud and obnoxious I can't hear myself think. What do you do, write a note and put it in her mailbox? I am new to this neighbor stuff, don't know this woman, but I see her pretty much every day when she walks by and hear her dog extremely often. Damn why are people so dumb.

Last night, around 10:00pm, I'm in my M Coupe taking an off-ramp from one expressway to another. From the ramp, I spy a State Police vehicle on the shoulder about 100 yards before the point I am going to merge on to the highway. Naturally, I merge like the driving instructor is next to me. There's a surprising amount of traffic at that spot, I think, from the compression due to the sight of the squad car there, so I lose track of him. The slow lane is doing five under the limit, so after a few moments I pull out in the left lane and pass (not exceeding +2 or +3 of the limit as I am mindful of the squad car back there somewhere). I note, while passing, that the car behind me, at least ten back, is likely the squad car in the dark. I pull back into the slow lane after passing two close cars. The officer accelerates rapidly and sits right off my rear quarter panel, smack in my blind spot and just sits there, all the other cars now falling off behind us. After a mile or so of WTF? I put on the cruise control at somewhere between the limit and +2. We proceed like automotive Siamese twins for the next FOUR MILES. At this point, I am annoyed. I'm five miles from home with six ways to go, so as the decel land for the next exit comes up aside me, I hit my right blinker three clicks, and change lanes. Before the second flash of my blinker the officer nails his gas and goes flying -- it was a really abrupt accerlation. I get off, mumbling to myself, like WTF just happened?

My driving even before I saw the squad car was just clean -- I was driving around with my father, whose shoulder was acting up, and the M is stiff enough by itself, I didn't want to throw him around. I didn't even have my Valentine on.
